As well as our long-running 2 day-a-week form year for young adults we have developed an opportunity for a broader range of people across Philadelphia & KC to access the quality teaching and discipleship which young adults at St Toms have benefited from over the past 13 years.
Year after year we see a number of young adults transformed by God as they do Form. This happens through a mix of teaching, participation in mission and belonging to loving communities. We are convinced that one of the reasons that Form is such a significant time in many people's lives is the call it gives to sacrifice time and money in order to come closer to God and let him form us.
Through Form Access we want to make the same call to other members of the church, at any stage of their life. We want to invite you to journey as disciples with us as we discover God's transforming love. Form Access is a year to build foundations in your walk with God, to see transformation in your life, and is an investment of time, money and effort which is really worthwhile.
Form Access is a year-long course (September – June) based in Sheffield for anyone of any age who wants to grow in character and maturity within a context of mission or ministry. Formal teaching will be available weekly to download along with appropriate handouts, and trainees are placed within a huddle which meets fortnightly (usually evenings), to process the year. Alongside this there will be a rolling programme throughout the year of project work, retreat days and socials, giving us the time to share what God is doing through as many different ways as possible. Trainees are expected to be a member of a cluster or missional community within the church, and to be engaged in an area of mission/ministry.
It is hoped that those with full-time work or family commitments will find Form Access beneficial in training and equipping them for the things God has called them to.
Form Access could be for:
- Recent graduates or young adults who have gone into a full-time job but who still want the training and opportunity to be discipled within the context of their workplace or other ministry or mission area.
- Anyone of any age who wants to spend a year focusing on developing maturity in Christ.
- Anyone of any age who is in some form of leadership across the church or in their workplace.
